Care & Use Tips

At Laura Vita, we like to mix materials. This can be a bit of a hassle when it comes to maintenance. So here are our tips to help you care for your beloved pairs and bags.

Of course, we strongly advise you to be very careful in applying these tips. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact us here

Caution on some models

Many of our models include metal details, exterior zippers, etc. Caution! The decorations are fragile.

The decorative zippers (often on the outside), should not be touched at the risk of damaging the shoe. To recognize them, just look at the lining. If the lining can be opened, then the zip is designed to be used. If the zipper is attached by a seam and the lining has no opening, then it is a purely decorative element intended only for the pleasure of the eye.

Metal details, embossed flowers, jewelry etc. are fixed with glue, stitches, and anything else that can make them stronger. Even so, it is possible to damage them. The main cause is the gripping of the flower/jewelry/decoration on the velcro straps. To avoid this problem, we advise you to pull on the leather tongue and not on the decoration attached to it. This little precaution can make your shoe last much longer!

Natural leather shoes & bags

For all natural leather products, whether textured or not, we invite you to use a colorless leather cream and rub gently with a soft cloth. If you wish to use a colored shoe polish, it is possible but you take the risk of damaging the irregular finishes done by hand.

With time, a patina will appear. This slippage and consequent loss of color is quite normal, proof of the pampered wear of the shoe and a guarantee of the authenticity of the leather.

Multi-material shoes & bags

These products are quite delicate to maintain. The easiest way is to use a cloth to dust and a colorless cream without alcohol. It is possible to put a little water, but not in large quantities.

Textile shoes & bags

These materials can be easily maintained with commercially available fabric shampoos. We recommend products from the Collonil, Saphir and other brands of equivalent quality.
