Precautions for Certain

Styles Many of our styles feature metal details, exterior zippers, etc. Please be careful! The decorative elements are fragile.

Decorative zippers (often on the outside) should not be touched, as this may damage the shoe. To identify them, simply look at the lining. If the lining can be opened, then the zipper is designed to be used. If the zipper is sewn in place and the lining has no opening, then it is purely decorative, intended solely for aesthetic appeal.

Metal details, embossed flowers, jewelry, etc., are attached with glue, stitches, and any other method that makes them more secure. However, it is still possible to damage them. The main cause of damage is the flower, jewel, or embellishment catching on the Velcro straps. To avoid this problem, we recommend pulling on the leather tab rather than on the embellishment attached to it. This simple precaution can make your shoes last much longer!

Shoes and & bags made of natural leather

: For all natural leather products, whether textured or not, we recommend using a colorless leather conditioner and gently rubbing it in with a soft cloth. If you’d like to use colored shoe polish, you can, but you run the risk of damaging the irregular, handcrafted finishes.

Over time, a patina will develop. This patina—and the resulting loss of color—is completely normal; it’s a sign of the shoe’s cherished wear and a testament to the leather’s authenticity.

Shoes and & bags made of multiple materials

: These products require careful maintenance. The simplest approach is to use a soft cloth to dust them off and a colorless, alcohol-free cream. You can use a small amount of water, but not too much.

& Textile shoes and bags

: These materials can be easily cared for using commercially available textile shampoos. We recommend products from the Collonil and Saphir lines, as well as other brands of equivalent quality.
