Care and use

At Laura Vita, we like to mix materials. This can be a bit of a hassle when it comes to care. So here are our tips to help you care for your beloved pairs and bags.

Of course, we strongly advise you to take great care when applying these tips. If you have any doubts, please contact us here

Caution on some models

Many of our models include metal details, external zips, etc. Please note! Decorations are fragile.

Decorative zippers (often on the outside) must not be touched, otherwise the shoe may be damaged. To recognize them, simply look at the lining. If the lining can be opened, then the zip is designed to be used. If the zipper is attached by a seam and the lining has no opening, then it's a purely decorative element intended solely for the pleasure of the eye.

Metal details, embossed flowers, jewels etc. are fixed with glue, stitches and anything else that makes them more solid. Even so, they can still be damaged. The main cause is the flower/jewel/decoration catching on the Velcro straps. To avoid this inconvenience, we advise you to pull on the leather tongue and not on the decoration attached to it. This little precaution can make your shoes last much longer!

Natural leather shoes & bags

For all natural leather products, whether textured or not, we recommend using a colorless leather cream and rubbing gently with a soft cloth. If you wish to use a colored shoe polish, this is possible, but you run the risk of damaging irregular hand-made finishes.

Over time, a patina will appear. This patina and consequent loss of color is perfectly normal, proof of the shoe's pampered wear and a guarantee of the leather's authenticity.

Multi-material shoes & bags

These products are rather delicate to maintain. The easiest way is to use a cloth for dusting and a colorless, alcohol-free cream. You can add a little water, but not too much.

Textile shoes & bags

These materials can be easily cared for with commercially available textile shampoos. We recommend Collonil, Saphir and other brands of equivalent quality.
